Make a grand entrance in burgundy and gold with this Rococo-inspired costume gown. An ornate pointed bodice, ivory sleeve flounces and sweeping decorative swags bring a courtly flourish to the full skirt, creating a dramatic look for a masquerade, themed ball or theatrical portrait session.
Design & Styling
Made with cotton and polyester, the gown combines a plush-looking burgundy outer layer with a lustrous red front panel. Gold-tone trim traces the neckline, waist and curved skirt decoration, while small bows and floral accents finish the design. The elbow-length sleeves end in layered ivory flounces, balancing the richly decorated bodice and floor-length silhouette.
The dress is the only included piece; the pictured headscarf is not included. Historical Inspiration
The decorated bodice and layered sleeve flounces evoke eighteenth-century Rococo dress. This is a modern costume interpretation rather than an exact reproduction of a surviving gown or an outfit documented as belonging to Marie Antoinette. It is not a Renaissance or Victorian design.

For a theatrical Rococo-inspired court character, contrast the burgundy gown with a white curled updo wig instead of the pictured headscarf. The wig is an optional separate purchase and is not included with the dress. Check its cap fit independently of the gown's body-measurement chart.
