Bring rich color and mid-Victorian drama to a character portrait or stage performance with this burgundy 1860s-inspired gown and coordinating shawl. The fitted bodice and generously gathered skirt create a sweeping silhouette, while purple ribbon-like trim and a deep ruffled hem add contrast.
A white lace collar frames the neckline above a row of decorative buttons. Long sleeves finish with white lace cuffs, and the patterned shawl drapes around the arms and across the back. Made from polyester, this costume is suited to Mary Todd Lincoln-inspired portrayals, Civil War-era theater and Victorian-themed photography.
